Your photos stay yours.
A clear home for the details that matter.
Your choices come first
The intended cleanup flow is Analyze → Review → Clean. You select the items to keep or remove before confirming. This flow still needs to be checked against the release build.
Photo access
Maru’s photo permissions and the behavior of limited-library access will be documented here after implementation review. You can review an app’s Photos access in iPhone Settings.
Processing and data collection
We are not yet making claims that all processing happens on your device. The following disclosures are pending confirmation:
- Where photos, videos, and library metadata are processed.
- Whether any content or diagnostics leave the device.
- Analytics, crash reporting, purchase providers, and other services used.
- Data retention, deletion requests, and applicable privacy rights.
- The operator’s identity.
Deleting and recovering photos
Apple Photos normally keeps deleted items in Recently Deleted for 30 days. Permanently deleting them removes this recovery option. If iCloud Photos is enabled, deletions also affect other devices using the same Apple Account.
