A little help,
when you need it.
For a smoother cleanup and a lighter library.
Cleaning & optimization
How should I start a cleanup?
Begin with a small selection. Review every item and any optimized copy before confirming. The exact Maru controls will be documented after the release build is verified.
Can I recover deleted photos?
Open Photos and find Recently Deleted. Apple keeps deleted items there for 30 days unless you permanently delete them sooner. Deletions sync across devices if you use iCloud Photos.
Apple’s recovery guidance ↗Why hasn’t my storage changed yet?
Items in Recently Deleted may still occupy storage. Storage figures can also take time to update. Confirm backups and review the items before permanently deleting them.
What changes when media is optimized?
Converting 4K to 1080p reduces resolution. Removing Live Photo motion keeps a still image without the motion component. Review the result before removing the original.
Purchases & Pro
What is included in Pro?
The Pro feature list and prices are awaiting confirmation. Use the actual in-app purchase screen and App Store listing as the source of truth once available.
Where do I manage an Apple subscription?
If Maru offers a subscription through Apple, you can manage it in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. The billing period and renewal terms must match the offer shown at purchase.
Restore Purchases
How can I restore an eligible purchase?
Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase, then look for Restore Purchases in the app. The Maru button location is pending verification. Eligible non-consumable purchases and subscriptions may be restorable.
Apple’s purchase restoration guide ↗Photo permissions
How do I change photo access?
In iPhone Settings, find Maru’s Photos permission and review the available access options. If access is limited, the app may only be able to inspect selected items. Exact support for each permission mode is pending release verification.
Bugs & feedback
What should I include in a bug report?
Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Maru version, what you expected, and the steps that caused the issue. Avoid sending personal photos or sensitive details; a redacted screenshot is often enough.
